Don't Be An Empty Parking Space
Published: Tue, 01/06/15
Hi ,
This note's a little longer than my usual.
Stick with it...if you want to turn a New
Years Resolution into a success story.
Totally predictable...
Yesterday was Monday January 5. Because it
was Monday, it's resistance training day at my
local gym.
I tired to get there a little earlier than usual,
because I knew what the situation in the parking
lot was going to be.
Chaos.
Because for most people it was the first working
day after the holiday week. Lots of new faces.
You can practically smell the New Years Resolutions
coming off the good people walking into the gym.
And they all came in cars.
And they took all the gosh darn parking spots.
Truthfully, I lucked into a good spot, right near the entrance.
Someone was pulling out just as I drove in. But most of the
rest of them were full. One minute later and I'd have been
walking from a different area code.
Same thing's gonna happen when I go back on Wednesday.
Hard to nail down a spot. And maybe the next few days after that.
I guarantee...by January 22 the parking situation will be
back to normal.
Because 90 percent of the New Years Resolution people
will have given up by then.
I'm not being negative or pessimistic. I've been going to
gyms for the last 15 years. It's always been this way.
And I'm not being judgmental of the people who give up.
With all my shortcomings and the number of times I've
screwed up, I don't get to be mean to anyone else.
But in this area...no, I haven't screwed up.
It's simple, I made my health, my physical well being,
the condition of my body a priority.
And it's not because I'm vain...at least I don't think so.
I'm not going to be on a magazine cover anytime soon...
at least not for my physique.
I found a commitment to it.
And in the course of finding that commitment,
I learned to do it right.
And I learned to love the exercise.
Most people aren't doing that. They feel badly about
the shape they're in. Or they're worried because the
numbers from their last check up weren't too good.
So they get that gym membership. Or they throw some
grocery money at supplements or "healthy foods."
And they dig in.
For three weeks or less.
Then come the empty parking spaces.
Truth is...as much as it seems like a good idea to
lose weight and get healthier, they don't see themselves
as that strong, healthy, lean person.
So when it gets hard, or it's too cold, or something
good in on TV that night, they bail.
I don't want you to be that person.
I want you to be one of the small percentage who
lives the dream.
Because you see yourself as strong, beautiful and worthy of it.
That's where the T3 Method starts.
And then Col and Christopher and I help the other stuff fall into place.
And then we have fun with our new energy, our new bods.
We slide into those empty parking spaces and appreciate our success!
The T3 Method Community is in Pre-Launch now through January 15.
We're rolling out some changes little by little.
Then on the 16th...we ROAR!
Wanna play?
