Your Freedom

Hi ,

You may not know today is the celebration of
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s birthday,
unless you have off from work, or your kids
have off from school.

Well, it is. And it's a celebration for all of us,
no matter what color.

I could go on all day about why, but instead,
I'm just going to invite you to take less than
15 minutes and listen to his "I Have A Dream"
speech.

It wasn't just that it was one of the greatest,
most profound, impassioned speeches of
all time, though it certainly was.

(And if you're a marketer, or anyone who wants
to get better at having more influence, you
definitely want to study it closely.)

It was the life lived that enabled it to happen.

Courage in the face of fear and hatred.

Compassion in the face of malfeasance.

Peace in the face of conflict.

And yes, he was speaking about the plight
of the American negro community.

But he was speaking to all of us.

He said we are "guaranteed the inalienable right to
life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."

Not happiness. The pursuit of it.

The personal responsibility to correct injustice,
starting within yourself and working outward.

LISTEN HERE.

And imagine what your world would be like
if you lived with the faith, love, courage and
commitment of Dr. King...even a little bit of it.

Happy Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day [!firstname}.

Much Love,
Larry
