Footsteps From Behind...

A few days ago I asked who was sneaking up
on you...or who were you sneaking up on.
And I used my baby girl, who snuck up on
my wife and me and graduated college when
we weren't looking.
She went and blew my mind one more time...
The kid's done with college. The diploma is on
the way. There's no need to do anything anymore.
So of course she shows up at the high school where
she graduated from four years ago.
She's doing research on Common Core standards,
which is the current trend in public education
in America.
She's doing it for a class she's already taken and
finished...and gotten an A in.
Did I mention she already graduated?
She'll tell me she's doing it because she wants
to stay in the good graces of her advisers.
She does have graduate school on the brain,
and this is a good way to get noticed.
But really it's because she's one of those people
who takes pride in what she does.
Yeah, she likes getting paid.
She also loves to work. What she does is who
she is.
And it shows up in the different aspects of her life.
Know who else is like that/
Every successful person you've ever met.
Successful in terms of money, and life satisfaction,
and relationships, and every other good thing
you can think of.
Where are you on that scale ?
Are you one of those folks who leaves a trail of
integrity, trust and positive energy behind you?
Are you someone's "go to" person?
Or a lot of people's?
If not, there's a way to fix that.
Yeah, it's exactly what you think it is.
HOW TO RECEIVE.
But you make that call.
Go out and enjoy your day.
Build something profound.
Or appreciate where and who you are.
And if you don't like what you see.
