Marriage Equality Ruling

Published: Fri, 06/26/15

Here's the truth...

No one is going to change anyone else's
mind about the legality of same-sex marriage.

You are only doing one of three things:
celebrating the victory, lamenting the defeat,
or living in a way that's congruent with your
own desires and values.

Which one do you think makes the most impact
on yourself and the world around you?

That's what went on my Facebook wall today.

You guys know how I feel about mixing politics
and business/coaching/spirituality. I won't demonize
anyone on either side of the issue.

My personal opinion is that it was the right call,
strictly from a Constitutional point of view.

And I will celebrate the freedom that couples who
couldn't marry are now experiencing (just as several
of the Supreme Court justices did in their dissenting
opinions).

And I will sympathize for those who genuinely
feel like their religious liberties have been eroded
by the decision, even as I'm sure that's not the case.

Go back to that first statement...

The best thing you can do for any "cause"
is to live in congruence with the values it
represents.

There is one undeniable truth...

The ones who have the most influence,
the most money, the most power...

They are the most committed to their
own strength and well-being, not spending
all their time and energy trying to change
everyone around them.

Don't like same sex marriage? Don't have one.

Really don't like it? Build a culture around
your life that reflects what you DO believe in.

Much Love,
Larry

P.S.: I honest to goodness respect anyone
from both sides of the debate who are sincere
in their opinions.

And I want you to have strength, confidence
and self-respect, so that people will listen to
what you have to say.

And of course I want you to make money,
have fun and be the kind of person people
listen to.

Summer School is coming!

Details tomorrow.
