14 Years Later

We're still here. At least most of
us as individuals.
And we're damn sure here as a country.
An attempt was made to have us living
in fear.
And yes, we take more precautions than
we did before.
That's not the same as fear.
I won't allow fear to program my hopes and dreams.
And it sure damn well won't program my actions.
By any measure you can think of, I am better off
now than I was on September 10, 2001.
And once I got past the shock of September 11,
I decided to live a life that scares the crap out
of terrorists and thieves.
Free will.
Compassion.
Pluralism.
Adventure.
And being willing to give to others, and
receive the best from them.
14 years later. We're still here...and free.
Go out and live a life that's worthy of it.
