Breaking Through Your Bad Stuff
Published: Sun, 11/22/15
There is no one who hasn't dealt with adversity.
Whether it's losing a loved one or losing a playoff
game, there's no one who hasn't had to figure out
how to come back from something bad.
I saw a saying recently, something about how
our difficulties define us. To be precise...
"Some people are lost in the fire.
Some people are built in it."
I don't know if that's totally true. I think how we
deal with our successes...how we grow into theĀ
person who handles the responsibility to live
up to them, defines us just as much.
But that's a topic for another time.
These past few days I interacted with people
whose worlds were rock because their favorite
football team lost.
And also people who faced life-changing adversity
and made choices right then and there to learn
grow and appreciate.
I'm not criticizing the person who's broken up
because their football team lost. I celebrate the
fact that nothing worse happened to them today.
I'm certain that something will. It's part of life.
One of the people who faced something really rough
happened to use a process I developed in How To Receive,
and expanded on in Mind Intensive and Mine Flip.
When the fire comes, what do you want to do?
Who do you want to be?
Appreciate what you got.
And build your inner strength for what's coming.
Have a great week,
Larry
