The Greatest Pleasure In Life
Published: Mon, 12/21/15
Every once in a while I see a post
that goes something like this...
that goes something like this...
"The greatest pleasure in life is doing
what people told you you couldn't do."
what people told you you couldn't do."
Makes sense in one respect.
It's satisfying. Everyone likes a good "gotcha last."
A "stick it to those bastards who said you couldn't do it."
Right?
Move away from that. Now.
Let me put out a different proposition...
ISN'T what people say you can't do.
If you think about it, doing stuff
to prove other people wrong sucks.
Because you're thinking about other
people who don't have good mojo.
people who don't have good mojo.
Your attention is on people who don't
like you, or at least don't have faith in you.
like you, or at least don't have faith in you.
And no doubt you don't like them back.
That poisons the journey.
And you can say it gives you extra motivation.
But the motivation is to "stick it to them."
Not necessarily to your own dreams,
your own goals, your own happiness.
your own goals, your own happiness.
You're still responding to their disapproval.
The greatest pleasure is NOT noticing what
they say about you, because you're too busy
enjoying your life.
The greatest pleasure is NOT noticing what
they say about you, because you're too busy
enjoying your life.
The greatest pleasure is putting your focus
on what would make you happy, successful,
rich and free.
on what would make you happy, successful,
rich and free.
The greatest pleasure is forgetting all about "them."
2016 is coming.
Yeah, New Years Resoultions.
I never bought into them.
I never bought into them.
But there is an opportunity to make a
COMMITMENT to your best self.
COMMITMENT to your best self.
And the habits that go along with it.
I'm taking on a few individuals who want to
go for the ride.
go for the ride.
And HOW TO RECEIVE is going to let
you change your mindset, so you're not
"getting back at them," but working like
crazy for something awesome.
you change your mindset, so you're not
"getting back at them," but working like
crazy for something awesome.
And to keep awesome people in your
everyday life.
everyday life.

P.S.: I challenge you to find one genuinely
successful person who spends his or her energy
worrying about who screwed them in the past.
successful person who spends his or her energy
worrying about who screwed them in the past.
That's an immature position. No offense,
but truth is truth.
but truth is truth.
It's time to put the revenge factor away.
You're bigger than that.
You're bigger than that.
Let's get you successful...in every sense
of the word.
of the word.
