Whatever You Do, DON'T Do This...

subject lines?
I'm sitting in a really nice lounge,
three hundred feet above the
Thames River in southeastern Connecticut.
It's 21 degrees outside, and most of the river
is covered with a layer of ice. It was below
zero last night.
But there are still plenty of spots where
you can still see the water moving.
It's a good size river. It flows into the
Long Island Sound, which meets up
with the Atlantic Ocean.
It's connected.
And it's COMMITTED.
The water knows where it's going.
And it won't be denied.
Even if the cold tries to stop it
dead in its tracks.
I'm sitting in comfort, next to my wife.
It's a good day.
The easiest thing to do would be to
mellow out and give into all this
luxury.
And later today we both will.
But I know what I want.
I'm connected.
I'm COMMITTED.
Outside circumstances might slow
me down.
But they won't stop me.
I'll find a way. Too much passion
for what I do. And for who I reach.
And for who I've yet to reach.
What about you, my friend?
If you're reading this on a latop
or phone, you have all the creature
comforts you'll ever need.
You'll be distracted and entertained
for as long as you like.
Things will stop you, if you let them.
Or you'll find excuses.
I'm not judging you.
I operated that way for years, until
what was important to me, became
REALLY important to me.
I am asking you to assess your own
level of commitment.
That subject line...
Don't pretend something is important
to you.
Don't "work on it" only to find out it
was a wish, not a commitment.
If your business, or your career is a hobby,
that's fine.
Just treat it like one.
Tell yourself the truth.
If you invest your time, your money, your
energy into it, make sure you're positioned
for return on that investment.
Stop getting your head turned by every
pleasant distraction that shows up on
your screen.
Stop letting the outside world dictate
the terms of your life.
Stop letting the voices in your head
turn you away from your commitment.
Don't do that.
Your dreams are worth more.
YOU are worth more.
Even if you haven't figured it out yet.
Even if you have to do other stuff in the
meanwhile to meet your responsibilities.
I can help you cut through the chatter.
I can help you break the ice.
It's worked for lots of others.
It can work for you too.
HOW TO RECEIVE.
If you order the audio version now,
you're gonna get hooked up with a
special surprise.
It's worth it.
Back to work.
Talk Soon,
Larry
P.S.: Next week, I am going to offer
you something that two or three years
ago I wouldn't have imagined I'd be able to.
Some will jump at it. Some won't.
It's what happens when you keep working,
keep making mistakes and learning from them,
keep growing.
You can totally do the same.
