Unsustainable
Published: Mon, 04/11/16
Too damn many home business owners operate
their business in a big lie.
It's a lie they tell themselves, and permit
others to tell them as well.
It's that they can run their business in a perpetual
state of loss.
No profit.
Less money at the end of the month than the start.
That's not a business. That's a hobby...possibly
an expensive one.
And if you want your business to be a hobby,
I'm totally cool with that.
Problem is, many people are feeding a fantasy
of home business success. Or weight loss.
Or relationships.
There's a price to that. Not just money.
To other people in your life who are relying
on you.
It's unsustainable...for all of those reasons.
And probably some of your own as well.
Fix it.
Make it sustainable.
Let emotion be the thing that motivated you
to start a home business in the first place.
But once you're in, make business decisions,
not emotional ones.
Make sure there's return on investment,
in a path you can clearly see.
It starts with valuing and respecting yourself.
Your time. Your resources.
Your relationships.
And (this is BIG) not relying on the approval
of others.
That means not worrying about rejection from
others who don't understand what you're doing.
But it also means not trying to base your
happiness on whether or not people in your
organization like you.
Yeah, that happens all the time.
As if your home business group is a second family.
Sure, maybe they are a little bit.
But families want each other to be strong
and secure.
And they'll let you know when you're not doing right.
Is your home biz group doing that?
If they aren't, it's unsustainable.
And they're probably not.
Home business can be a great place
to plant your social and financial flag.
But you've gotta be ready.
That's an inside job.
Mind Intensive can help.
A lot.
It already has for many.
Check out the videos.
Love what you do.
And make it sustainable.
Peace Out,
Larry
