I Blew Off An NBA Game

Published: Sat, 10/08/16

So here I am at "Happyland," a.ka. The Mohegan Sun
Resort. I'm huddled up with Diane and Julie.
We're having an absolute blast, but it's also all business.

The two of them are doing their mastermind. At the end
of a two hour session Diane gives me some really cool news...

With one phone call she could hook me up with pre-season
tickets. Boston Celtics vs. Charlotte Hornets. Right here in
the arena! Starts in less than an hour.

Awesome!! NBA preseason!!

I thought about it for two seconds. "Thanks, but no thanks."

It's not that I don't love sports. I do.

And it's not that not that I don't love seeing people at the
top of their game.  I do.

But I'm much more interested in being at the top of MY game.

And I'm much more interested in getting the results of my efforts.

More business.  More cash flow.

More lives to impact.

There comes a time when you cross over from being a fan of watching
other people do it, to being a student, and a doer, and the architect
of your own life
.

You won't get that from taking distractions when they're offered
to you, even really cool ones.

I'm gearing up to learn new skills, make new friends, influence
new people.

What are you geared up to do?

Who do you want to be? A spectator or a force for good?

Ponder that, then make your move.

Peace Out,
Larry
