Being Manipulated
Published: Wed, 11/16/16
Everyone has an agenda.
That's not a bad thing. We all want something,
and it's nice when what we want is in line with
what someone else wants. We can make a fair,
balanced trade of goods and services for money.
That is often not the usual state of affairs.
So before you read the next few sentences, take
what I'm about to say in context. It's something
we all do.
Marketers manipulate.
They manipulate the facts to paint a picture the
way they want you to see it, so you pay attention
to the details they want you to.
They manipulate your emotions to amplify your
fear. Or your greed. Or your desire.
They manipulate your emotions to connect their
product or service - or themselves- to your sense
of well-being, or safety, or group identity.
They tell a story the way they want the listener to
perceive it. They seek to influence a course of action.
And marketer or not, we all do this, like the man
(or woman) try to persuade someone into a date.
Or a kid trying to influence a parent to more video
game time or a trip to McDonalds.
Skilled marketers get really good results doing it.
They influence people's emotional state, which
influences their buying decisions.
They influence what people choose to believe,
and where they choose to put their money.
Someone who isn't secure within themselves is
always going to be vulnerable to strong marketing.
They'll be manipulated...not by the marketer itself,
but by their own emotions.
Their need to belong. To fit in. To establish identification
with the brand, or even the marketer him or herself.
They need to feel safe.
I get it.
I'm also a marketer.
My agenda may be more transparent than others,
but I have one.
I have spent a career - from high school students,
to home business newbies, to top level marketers - helping
people get unblocked from the things that hold them back.
Fear.
Lack of self-esteem.
Discomfort in their own bodies.
Loneliness.
You're going into a world where others will seek to play
with your needs and fears.
I don't want you to be manipulated into poor choices by
any outside force.
I want you to look at your life - honestly - and choose
who and where you want to be.
I want you to invest your emotions, your time, your
energy, your money in places that are for your highest good.
In January, I am going to open MIND FLIP up to everyone
who wants to be in charge of their own lives.
Not to be perfect. There's no such thing.
But to make most of your choices based on what YOU
want, not what someone else decides what you should want.
What is in your world, and what's in front of you.
Not what's behind you that you're trying to get back.
It's never going to happen.
To be in charge of your own life.
To stop being a victim of the next wave of marketing
manipulation.
Will that help you make more money? I don't know.
Truthfully, when I've worked with marketers in the past,
some of them broke through and made lots.
A few of them stayed right where they were.
And some of them jumped out of an industry that was
victimizing them. They found what was right...for them.
I'll post details soon.

There are going to be two levels of participation:
basic and advanced leadership.
And payment plans if you need them.
I'm not looking to get rich from this course.
I'm looking to alter lives for the better.
For your highest good.
You're worth it. We all are.
Live healthy, with love and courage.
