Why Confidence Is Important (Not What You Think)

Published: Fri, 02/17/17

It seems like a silly thing to say...

"Of course you have to be confident!"

Duh, right?

Yes, if you're confident, you'll be willing
to try new things.

And if you're confident, that energy will
be attractive to others.

And of course, you'll generally walk around
in a better mood if you're confident than
if you're not.

No one's gonna argue with any of those.

Let me throw one more at you...

Confidence is important when life knocks
you on your ass.

Try as hard as you want, but there are gonna
be times when life kicks you in the groin.

You'll lose a job. Someone will leave you.

Someone will die.

You'll get sick or hurt.

A thousand different things could happen
that weren't part of your life plan.

You'll find yourself down on your knees.

And you may lose hope.

But you don't have to lose confidence.

If you trust in yourself, and if you trust in
the source that put you here - however you
perceive it - you can bounce back pretty quickly

And if you have confidence in your own
COMEBACK POWER, you will often find
some of life's greatest gifts woven into the very
thing that hurt you in the first place.

So no, there is no escaping the sad parts of life.
You can put all the "positive thinking" on bad
stuff you want. It's still bad. It still hurts.

But you can make it so that your suffering only
goes down so far.

You can be assured of your place in the big
dance of life.

You can know you are good, whole, worthy,
and strong.

You can learn to laugh at things that would
knock other people out of the game for good.

And yes, you can turn tragedy into triumph.

Want one quick way to do it?

Think of one really bad thing that happened
to you. Do it right now.

I know it'll hurt.

I'm doing the same thing. Yeah, it hurts.

But I got through.

And it made me stronger.

And in my case it opened up pain that had
been locked up for many years...pain I was
finally able to release and energy I could
use for something beautiful.

You can do the same thing.

It's probably easier than you think.

It's part of what we're doing at
The Confidence Project next month in Detroit.

A bunch of people are going to walk out
stronger, happier and freer than when
they walked in.

We'd love you to be one of them.
One of us.

And we still have three more days of the
Early Bird Discount. Save 40%!!

Anyway, that's what I wanted to share with you.

Confidence isn't arrogance or bluster, at
least not usually.

Confidence is also kindness, especially
to yourself.

Much Love,
Larry
