SPECIAL REPORT: Three Ways To Beat The 80-20 Rule
Published: Sun, 02/26/17
of MIND FLIP is talk about the 80-20 rule.
Also known as "The Pareto Principle," it simply
says that in any given field 80 percent of the
productivity is accomplished by 20 percent
of the people.
Now the people who signed up for Mind Flip
are a sharp crowd. They've accomplished a few
things along the way, and they're hungry for more.
But every group of people follows the 80-20 rule.
Or does it???
I told my guys at Mind Flip, "There's no reason
we can't all be part of the 20 percent! There's no
reason all of us cannot be productive and successful.
"There's no reason we can't all go out and be the
true 20 percent in everything else we do."
And of course some are doing more than others.
But that's everywhere, even in the most
high powered groups.
Here are a few simple tips if you want to
beat the 80-20 rule...
1. Don't Be One Of The 80 Percent
Just decide right at the beginning. You're
going to see what others are doing, and be
one of the highest performing folks in the
crowd. Or at least one of the hardest workers.
Lots of the results people get happen over time.
So if someone gets some success in the beginning,
that's great for them.
But it's more likely to happen in 30 to 90 days
from the time they start. So don't look at progress
too soon. Keep your eyes on the journey, not just
the destination.
2. Pick Your Goal Carefully
Lots of people beat themselves up because they
start out with great intentions. Then they flake
off after a short time.
That's no fun. And it's often because they've
chosen the wrong thing to go after.
There are lots of people who want home business
success, or to get ripped muscles. Or to date
new people.
If you're going after something you thought was
important to you, but it turned out not to be,
you'll never give it the commitment it needs.
Instead, you'll feel disappointed and dejected.
Spend some time figuring out your values and
your priorities. Get comfortable with yourself.
It's much easier to succeed when something is
in line with who you are and what you want.
3. Be A Contributor And A Supporter In Any
Group You Join
Whatever you're trying to do: weight loss, home
business, career development, sports, anything...
there are different levels of achievement.
Some people are simply going to have more skills
than you have.
Be cool with that. And support those people. Cheer
them on. Celebrate their success.
Copy it as closely as you can. Lots of other people
will notice your effort and your integrity. They'll
want to bring you along with them for the ride.
And of course, anytime you align with a group
of winners, you learn how to become one yourself.
(That's Step Three of Mind Intensive's Five Step
Success System.)
And there you have it...
Three ways to beat the 80-20 Rule.
You get to decide who you are, what you want,
and where you belong.
Now, if you want the Confidence to really go after
it, we've got some good stuff cooking.
