Rumors

Lots and lots and lots of rumors!
Especially if you're in the public eye.
Most of us know some version of the saying,
"If everyone likes you, you're not doing it right."
If no one is "talking smack" about you, same thing.
You don't get to be powerful, influential,
commanding and profitable without ruffling
a few feathers.
Sometimes that'll be about you. Sometimes you'll
take risks and make mistakes.
And people will jump on those mistakes as a
way to stir up some drama.
Sometimes you'll get it right, and still piss off
people who are threatened by your willingness
to trust your instincts and ambition.
And of course sometimes a little of both! (wink)
And yeah....rumors will start flying.
There are some doozies going on about me
right now!
I'm not going to spend the energy swatting
them all down.
Another great saying...
For those who love you, no apology is necessary.
For those who hate you, no apology will suffice.
Know yourself.
Love yourself.
Honor yourself.
Fix the mistakes that are fixable.
Apologize when it's appropriate.
Then move on.
And while you're at it, celebrate how freakin'
AMAZING you are.
Let the rumors fly. You won't stop them, no
matter how hard you try.
Build your business, your career, your
relationships, your health, your well being.
Build your life.
Release The Hounds.
Off to Minnesota to give a keynote address,
then to a "super secret location."
Go do good stuff.
Don't worry about the rumors.
You're bigger.
