How To Command

people what to do, or "bossing them around."
That's certainly one way of doing it.
Not the best way.
And BTW...this is meant for anyone who needs
to influence people in order to get what they
want.
And for most of you, that means your business
or career.
I was speaking with one of my clients earlier
today. No details, but in order to get what he
wants, he needs to get better at command.
And again, that has very little to do with being
an "alpha male."
It has everything to do with knowing what you want.
And it has everything to do with feeling like
someone worthy of receiving it.
Do you understand that?
There are too many of you out there who are afraid
of your own power.
Of your own desires.
So you do what everyone else is doing.
You follow behind people who are telling you to
do things that serve their agenda. Not yours.
And you feel like you're part of the team.
That's great. Except show me the people on
the team who are breaking through and
becoming successful.
The ones who make mone.y, who gain influence,
who are happy and excited.
They're nice. And fun. And fun to be around.
They command.
They tell people what to do.
And people do it.
If you think you have to be an arrogant asshole
to command, you'll never break through.
You'll never get what you say you want.
Put away the idea that command
is for someone else.
It's for you.
Step into it.
Figure out what you want.
Figure out once and for all you have
knowledge and skills worthy of sharing.
Figure out once and for all you don't get
the big prizes by doing what everyone else does.
Figure out once and for all people want to
be told what to do.
Then step in and fill the void.
