Your Reward

Published: Sun, 07/02/17

Whatever you're working on right now, what will be
the reward when you get it?

There is no wrong answer to that question.

There are however, answers that are right and wrong
for you.

In 27 years of professional counseling and coaching
I have found one of the biggest problems is that people
are going after the wrong rewards.

They're going after rewards they think will make them
feel better, but will actually leave them feeling more
empty once they get them.

Or they'll go after rewards that someone told him they
think they should want, but actually don't mean anything
to them other than what that person (or people) said
they should.

Or they'll go after a reward to try and heal the hurt from
the past. Or to get back at a person or situation they're
angry with.

It's OK if that's what you're doing. It's where most people
are at.

It's also why most people walk around dissatisfied
with their lives.

That angry energy is hard to sustain. Show me someone
who stayed angry on the journey and got what they
wanted and I will happily buy you a cheeseburger.
It just doesn't happen very often.

There are lots of industries that are based on fear,
and lack, and trying to fill a hole. The home business
industry is one of them. So are the most sales professions.

Money doesn't fill that hole for most people, though
the greed is very often what brings people in to both
those places.

Most walk out in less than six months more disappointed
and angry (and broke) than when they started.

Now… Look around at the ones who were successful.

Yes, they have money. They also have fulfillment,
deep relationships, and excitement about what each
new day brings.

They may be dissatisfied with parts of their lives, but they
feel ready to do something about it. Even if they don't
know the exact path, they're  confident they can find it,
and figure it out.

They have released the hounds of their own desire.

They have also let go of things in their lives that really
needed to be gotten rid of.

Yeah, this is heavy duty stuff.

I'm not trying to trigger you with greed or lifestyle or
mansions, yachts and vacations.

Those things are certainly within reach.

But only if you behave like a grown-up, not the child
who still hasn't gotten what they want.

If any of this stuff offends you, or you just don't get it,
that's OK. You're not my target audience.

But if you've read this far, you know what I'm talking about.

RELEASE THE HOUNDS starts on Monday, July 10.
We're going to take six weeks and unblock you. We'll help
you heal that hurts and fix the errors in your thinking.
We'll help you change the habits.

And then we will Release The Hounds of your desire.

We'll help you figure out what you want, for real…

And then go after it like a wild dog.

With passion and with fun.

Not worried about failure.

Not worried about what anyone else thinks.

And we'll have role models of already done it,
walking with you.

We'll help you get YOUR rewards.

Peace Out,

P.S.: It's OK to be scared of actually getting what you
want. There's more responsibility in that than there
is sitting around in your underwear, fantasizing about
the next big thing.

Or doing work that makes you feel like you're doing
something, but in your heart you know doesn't lead
anywhere.

If you feel like it's time to step up to the big leagues,
we've got a seat for you at our table.
