With Respect...

I say this with respect...

I will listen to advice from people who are good at
building the things I want to build...because they
have something valuable to share.

I will not listen to advice from people who tell me
to do something different because what I'm doing
challenges their personal comfort zones.

That's the kind of limited thinking that makes people
need a lifestyle or financial change in the first place.

I recommend the same for you.

Listen to someone who knows what they're
talking about.

Not someone who wants you to stay in your lane
because you're embarrassing them.

***   ***

That was from my Facebook wall yesterday.

I'm sure it hit a bunch of people between the eyes.

Maybe it hit you between the eyes also.

Because everyone who reads my notes is looking
for some kind of change. Often it's career or
financial.

And when they see a good thing, they're afraid
of what people will think.

So they stay stuck.

You're better than that.

And you have a chance to run with a crowd that
will celebrate your ambition, not knock you down.

You're not committing yourself to anything.

But...if you don't get out of worrying about what
other people think of you, you're dooming yourself
to an out of control life. Because you'll always
be a slave to "them."

Yes, I will call you. Not to "recruit you."

But to listen. And see if what we're doing is a
match for what you want.

Peace Out,
Larry

P.S.: I promise you one other thing...

If you move out of your comfort zone and start something
new...even if you failed before...

You'll get ridiculed by some. And celebrated by others.

And respected by me.

And more importantly, respected by yourself.
