How To Make A Difference In Someone's Life

Published: Tue, 02/27/18

Yes, donating blood is one way to make a
difference in someone’s life.

And at some point in the future, a person in
need is going to grab a pint of “Larry’s A
negative turbo juice” and power up!

I gave a pint this week. It felt great.

And that same day I put out an offer….anyone who
donates a pint within seven days gets a free copy of
one of my books, plus a shout out on some of my
social media outlets, as well as to my subscriber base.

A few people told me they weren’t allowed to donate.
Overseas military service, medical conditions, travel, etc.

Totally get it. For years, when I had a condition that
affected my platelets I wasn’t allowed to donate either.

So it’s pretty simple…

Find another way to make a difference in someone's life.

Giving blood is one way.

So is spending time with someone who has no other way
to make a social connection. Someone elderly or disabled.

So is anonymously donating money to a cause you believe in.

So is leaving a five dollar bill (or more, or less depending on
your situation) in a place where someone who could use it will
find it.

So is…you get the idea. You’re smart enough to know how to
make a difference in someone’s life.

Here’s one more way…

Have a great product or service for sale. Something that adds
real and lasting value to someone.

And let them buy it from you.

Discount it if you like, or allow someone to barter for it.
Or a combination.

Or give them the thrill or buying it at full price.

Let them feel the pride and dignity of making a purchase
of something important.

Let them feel important enough and competent enough
to buy something without the need for charity.

And watch them pass that legacy onto others.

In other words, give people what you would want for yourself.

Have a great day,
Larry
