For Halloween this year I'm going to be
a multi-millionaire. How about you?
I've always loved the mystery of Halloween.
You get to be whatever you want to be.
Ghost? Grab a sheet from the linen closet.
Something more elaborate? Head down to
the local costume shop or get creative
and resourceful.
Then go to the parties and/or trick or
treating in the evening.
It was SO cool to trick or treat, especially
if the air was a little
brisk and a breeze was
blowing. It added to the spookiness of it all.
And the houses...never knowing who was
going to give what, or even if they would be home.
(My younger daughter just told me one of the
houses ran out of candy
last year so they handed
her a ten dollar bill. I'm a little skeptical
on that one,
but the older one is backing her up.)
Last year I didn't wear any costume at all but
I did enjoy the spirit of the whole thing.
As I said this year I've decided to be a happy
and secure multi-millionaire.
It's an easy costume to assemble. It's jeans
and a casual but colorful polo shirt.
Think I'll go with the bright green one.
Casual and happy multi-millionaires wear
what makes them feel good. No need to
impress anyone. 
It's what we did when we were kids.
It's an opportunity to try on a whole new identity.
If you make it real enough, it might even
stick with you year round.
This year, be whatever you want for Halloween.
Let the spirit of reinvention wash over you.
If you're reading this too late for Halloween,
decide on another day for your costume.
You don't even have to tell anyone you're wearing it.
Make any day of the year your own personal Halloween!
