I figured out years ago...there are no accidents.

I put the following status on my Facebook wall on

Sunday December 23...

Remember...like attracts like. So if you see something

Now start bringing it more front and center.

Two days before Christmas.

Nine days after the unspeakable horror of the Newtown shootings.

More than ever, a time we realize what we SAY doesn't amount

to a hill of beans...

Unless we LIVE it.

And offer it up as an example to those who we reach.

And live it humbly yet powerfully enough so that our reach expands.

From the perspective of Larry, the Jewish guy...

Jesus lived it.

He didn't ask you to be in charge of others.

He didn't ask you to build monuments to his work and The Word.

He asked you to live it.

And show others by your example.

"Even the least among you can do all that I have done, and greater things."

2000 years later, whatever your belief system is, the truth comes

home in its power and simplicity.

You won't influence someone with your words, your graphics,

your system your razzle dazzle.

At least not for more than a little while.

Because someone else will always have glitzier graphics,

glitzier words, a sexier product or payplan.

You will influence to the degree you LIVE your message.

And I promise you...that truth will come out.

And I also promise you...

YOU have a message worth living and celebrating.

Even if you haven't chosen to live it fully yet.

Even if you've permitted yourself to be held back by fear,

or greed, or anger, or laziness.

You are the child of something good, and right and -

use this word if it fits your belief system - Godly.

Whatever kindness you can muster, put it front and center.

Whatever strength, humor, grace under pressure,

effectiveness you have...

Live it.

And document it. With humility and humor.

But let people know what you've got.

Because they're looking for leadership.

There's enough negativity to follow already. No one needs yours.

And if you haven't found your core of love and strength

and achievement yet...

Be a follower.  Find someone who has.

Be a student.

Surrender your ego, your doubt, your hopelessness and helplessness.

And let the teachers and mentors find you.

Because as was said...

Give the world the gift of living it.
