Repetition And Emotion

Published: Mon, 01/28/13

So I'm thinking back to 8th grade Spanish class.
I remember failing a test...badly.

I don't remember why this test affected me as deeply as it did.
At that point in my "academic career" I was failing a lot of tests.

But something about this one hit me hard.

The teacher wrote on the top of my paper, "Que' paso'?"
That means, "what happened."  That little bit of Spanish
never left me.

I know how to speak Spanish fairly well. If you're a native
speaker, I can hold my own in a conversation with you...
at least for a little while.

But certain Spanish phrases became part of my regular,
day to day vocabulary.  Que paso' is one of them. Sometimes
I'll say it when I really mean "what happened." And I'll say
it to a non Spanish speaking person who just looks at me funny.

We learn by repetition...and emotion.

Repetition...and emotion.

Repetition...and emotion.

Repetition...and EMOTION!!!

It's how I learned to juggle. My 20 year old brain told me
if I could learn how to juggle I'd be a chick magnet, among
other good things.

True story! Emotion.

And I learned by practicing. And practicing. And practicing.
For a few weeks learning how to juggle became the center
of my universe.

Here's the point....

If you're trying to do something - break through in a business,
lose weight, anything - it's gonna happen when you make it
something you want...badly.

And it'll happen when you do it often enough - and accept correction -
so that it becomes part of your rhythm.

That's it.

It's why the people who stick with me in UNDER THE RADAR
and HOW TO RECEIVE are breaking through, feeling better,
making money, doing the deal.

Repetition and emotion.

Repetition and EMOTION!!!

I'm accepting two more students for UNDER THE RADAR
before February 1. Then no more until March 1.

Hit me up if you want to play along.

Much Love,
Larry

P.S. The third key ingredient (and really the most important one)
...you have to feel worthy of the success you seek. Otherwise you
will sabotage yourself in a thousand different ways. And you'll ask
yourself why it didn't work. But in reality you already know the
reason. It's the first thing we cover in H.T.R. AND U.T.R.

P.P.S.  The fourth key ingredient...we have to learn from someone
we find value in.  If you don't think I'll get you to the Promised Land
of whatever you desire, it  ain't gonna happen. You'll put in the time...
at least for a little while.  But after a while you'll just give up and
move to the next "guru" until you find someone you vibe with.
And the truth is, it's not about the teacher. It's about you.
That's a whole different post.

P.P.P.S.  You can read this same story at NO MORE HOLDING
BACK. In fact I'd love if you did...and commented on it there.
