So on Sunday evening I had the impulse to drive over to Memorial Boulevard

in our town. Yeah, I know the parade and all the other stuff is today.

 

But I dig the quiet honor that comes from strolling around the monuments.

 

That's kinda what happened, but there was a bonus too.
