(Sunday Night) Your Mess Is Your Message
Published: Sun, 07/20/14
Hi ,
I love, admire and respect you...and I want you to have
the thing your heart desires.
*** ***
7:01 on Sunday evening, East coast time.
I'm 59 minutes away from training our Summer School group.
It was originally Diane's training on list building, but she threw
out her back, so she's gonna take the night off, then get a massage
tomorrow.
I know what I"m going to tell these guys. List building isn't that
complicated. There are a few tricks to learn.
But mostly it's about having the focus and determination to do the
things that make people want to get closer to you.
And it's having the sense of play and self-worth to stay on the path...
No matter how badly you screwed up before.
Your mess is your message.
I didn't invent that. I don't know who said it first, though I
heard one of the Nightingale-Conant trainers say it 15 or
so years ago on a cassette tape.
If you're actually reading this on Sunday night, you're invested
enough in your dreams to keep at it when other things are asking
for you attention.
And if you're reading in Monday, or Tuesday, or whenever...
you've gotten this far in the note.
I don't have all the answers.
But I'm not afraid to ask the questions.
I bet anything that's who you are too.
Don't be afraid of your screw ups.
Celebrate them.
They gave you the desire to be here...right here, right now.
Not in front of dumb ass Sunday night television, numbing
your brain.
Celebrate waking up in a cold sweat at 3:00 am, wondering
how you're gonna make it work.
Celebrate every person who smiled at you, then made fun of
you when you left the room.
Bless them. They fed your motivation to do something different...
to transcend your environment.
49 minutes until an outstanding group of men and women take
another step on the road to greatness.
Yes, the money.
And the figuring out their ambition was right all along.
So is yours.
If I can help you let go of that heavy load you've been carrying,
I'd love to.
Because that creates more space to carry the important stuff.
And to RUN toward your dream.
I believe in you.
Have an inspired week.
Much Love,
Larry
