Three Ways To Stop Living In The Past
Published: Sun, 11/09/14
Happy Sunday
I
was laying on the chiropractor's table a
few days ago, getting the
shock treatments
on my back (feeling better after the car
accident...
thanks to those of you who asked about it) when
a thought
came up. I dictated it into my phone....
What
happened ten minutes ago is just as much a
part of the past as World
War One. It's a matter
of how you process it, and how much influence you
permit it to have on your present.
That
doesn't mean it's wrong to bask in the warm glow
of the good stuff or
grieve the hurts. It must means there's
a present with your name on it,
waiting for you to come
out and play.
Let
the lessons of the past inform. That's what they're
there for. Realize
you are whole, beautiful and worthy
to create the present and future you
desire. It's what
you were put here to do.
Part
of that thought came from realizing we are only one
drunk or texting
driver away from death, or a totally new
reality. It gives us a
challenge to live our lives who we are,
where we are and how we are.
It also came from a birthday coming up this week. Hard
not to notice the tick, tick ticking of the clock. :)
And it comes from realizing that many of us spend our lives
trying to live up to someone else's expectations of us.
We so badly want the approval of that parent, or that lover,
or someone else we have allowed to mean more to us than
is healthy.
It shows up in choices that diminish us. That take away our
freedom. That leave us unfulfilled.
Sure, we all do that. We all live in the past to a certain extent.
But if it's time to do something different...to make peace with
your past rather than keep reliving it...
To own your life, own your choices, own your present and future....
And have that show up in great ways...money, great relationships,
better health...
Then CLICK HERE, and let me leave you with three simple ways
to get yourself out of the past and live in the present...
And please....comment, like, tweet and share this around.
This could be a great day for someone, if you show them
what's possible.
Much Love,
Larry
