Happy Birthday!

Published: Wed, 11/12/14

to...ME!

Yup. November 12. 1965, to be specific.

I'm a perfect square! (wink)
First time since 36 and last time until 64.

And...one year away from the half century mark.

Three days after the giant blackout of the
Eastern seaboard, for those of you who were
around at the time.

I do know how to pick my spots, huh???

My special day, along with Neil Young, Charles
Manson, Nadia Comenici, Ann Hathaway and
a few others.

There's a sense in a lot of the world to downplay
our special times. To defer to someone else. To
deny the magnificence of our own selves.

I did that...for a long time.

Now...not so much.

It's not that I want to be showered with attention
at the expense of others. Giving and receiving
are two sides of the same coin. If you don't
give, the receiving becomes forced and manipulative.

And if you don't receive, you'll have nothing in the
tank when giving time comes.

The rich, abundant powerful among us do both.
They just got good at leveraging their receiving,
so they get it from lots of people with relatively
little effort.

But they still give.

Anyway...I'm celebrating my day. My victories,
my mistakes, my moments of quiet breakdowns
and public celebrations.

Me.

Because I am part of the great and glorious dance
of life.

I am beautiful. And I am part of something beautiful.

So are you. And I don't recommend you wait until
your birthday before you accept it.

But I surely want you to feel all of it on your special
day. Just like I am.

So...happy birthday to me!

And if you want to recognize it, even do something
great for both of us, pick up one of my books
at NO MORE HOLDING BACK.

Or even the audio version of HOW TO RECEIVE
if you're feeling generous...toward yourself.

Because those have launched some positive life
changes among a lot of people.

No matter what...

Celebrate your own capacity for love today...
to give and receive.

Much Love,
Larry
